The singer”s Columbia record label said she had been ordered to take a few weeks of voice rest after first postponing five dates being earlier this week.
She had hoped to resume the tour on June 4 in San Francisco.
“I”m really frustrated. I was hoping with a week”s rest I”d be better to sing again straight away. However there is absolutely nothing I can do but take the doctor”s advice and rest some more. I”m so sorry. See you soon, love Adele,” the singer said in a statement.
Adele, 23, who won a best new artist Grammy in 2009, currently has the best selling album of the year in the United States with “21″ and the hit single “Rolling in the Deep”.
Columbia said plans to reschedule the canceled tour dates were underway but no information was yet available.
