One Direction tease fans with big announcement
One Direction have sent their fans into a frenzy, revealing that they have a "big announcement" to make.
Taking to Twitter, Niall Horan promised fans the biggest news ever in One Direction“s history.
"THE most exciting 1D news EVER is being announced in 6 days," Niall tweeted. The message instantly caused a stir and has has now been retweeted 61. 522 times.
The tweet comes as the five-piece launch a countdown clock at onebigannouncement.com, and within minutes the website crashed as fans of the band, who call themselves Directioners, flocked to check the the page.
Niall sent the tweet to his eleven million followers causing excitement, as fans of the band surged the site in hope of further clues.
Fans have already begun speculating what the announcement could be, with suggestions ranging from the band recruiting a sixth member to the release of a new album.
One Direction have been busy lately filming their upcoming 3D film This Is Us, which is directed by Super Size Me filmmaker Morgan Spurlock.
The boys are currently busy at the moment on a sold-out world tour, which saw them perform 7 nights at London”s O2 Arena, and are expected to release their third album this autumn.
The band, who found fame on Britain”s X Factor have proved to be one the show”s biggest success stories, with two number one albums here in the UK and the USA.
